Symmes/Wicks House Bed and Breakfast is situated in beautiful central Montana in the charming town of Lewistown. Located on Hwy 87 in the center of Russell Country, Lewistown is surrounded by pristine mountain ranges and lakes, and Spring Creek runs right through town.
The Bed and Breakfast is the private home of Charles and Carole Wicks, Lewistown natives who purchased the stately 1909 three-story sandstone Symmes home in 1989. After spending four years lovingly restoring every detail of the home, they now generously share it with their guests. The home is available year ‘round for a welcoming and comfortable stay.
The stately home offers the choice of three lovely guest rooms, complete with antique furnishings and warm woodwork, making each room a pleasure to relax in. In addition, a TV room with VCR and CD player, laundry facility, reading library with piano, and rambling porches are available for the pleasure of the guests.
Breakfast is truly special when you sit down to enjoy one of Carole’s delicious gourmet breakfasts. Each meal features homemade dishes planned to please each guest! And, upon your check-in, a relaxing tea and light snack will be waiting for you.
Symmes/Wicks House is located in the historic Silk Stocking District, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and is within walking distance of downtown shopping as well as the Lewistown Art Center and the Public Library.
Recreational opportunities are plentiful here in central Montana, including golfing, fishing, hunting and cross-country skiing. Of special interest are the Crystal Lake Recreational Area, the Ice Caves, and the Fish Hatchery and Big Spring, all located within thirty minutes of the Bed and Breakfast.
